As you can imagine, there was a great deal of information collected that is now being analyzed in order to make sense of what was said and present it back to the community. The Task Group is currently planning two opportunities for the public to evaluate the various options for development, operations and management of the Rail Trail that are emerging from the data. The first is the Evaluating Options Workshop, which is being scheduled for Thursay, February 9th from 6:30-9:30 pm - Minden Hills Community Centre. The second is a brief survey that will be launched around the same date in order to once again reach a broader audience. The link to the survey will be posted here on the County's website and will be promoted and distributed widely. Action Plan An action plan that outlines the community’s vision(s) for the development of the Rail Trail, how the trail should operate and a proposed management structure was presented to the Ad Hoc Working Committee for the Haliburton County Rail Trail (public meeting). The Task Group and Ad Hoc Working Committee will collaboratively determine what will go forward for consideration by County Council as per the Community Development Planning framework for the engagement strategy and Spectrum of Public Participation.
