HCACL focuses on supporting adults who have been labelled "developmentally delayed" to deal with the challenges in their lives. Programs include "Alternatives", a program to develop skills in daily living; "Employment Options", which assists people to work in the community either individually with support to employer and employee or as part of a "work crew". The association offers 24-hr supported residential settings, respite care, as well as a supported independent living program.
