County's doctors ask seasonal residents to remain at home

As a County, we realize the importance of our seasonal residents and visitors to our economy. We face some harsh realities recognizing that we have limited capacity to manage a health emergency. A substantial influx of visitors will further challenge our ability to source adequate beds, medical supplies, equipment and personal protective equipment to manage this pandemic.

Effective immediately (Friday, March 27, 2020) the County of Haliburton Rail Trail is closed to motorized vehicles and/or social gathering. Please be mindful to maintain social distancing from other Trail users.

Health and safety for all in the County of Haliburton

Due to an increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases throughout the Province of Ontario, now is the time to be hyper-vigilant as a community, for the protection of our families and neighbours. At this time, there has not been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the County of Haliburton. Office Closure

The County’s administration office in Minden is closed to the public. This is a safety measure for both public and staff and has been taken in response to recommendations for social distancing.

Halliburton County declares state of Local Emergency

Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. (ET), the County of Haliburton has declared a state of Local Emergency in accordance with the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c E.9 s.4 (1) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
