Ontario Works provides financial and employment assistance to people in need.

Financial and Employment Assistance

Residents of Haliburton County in need of employment and financial assistance can get help from the City of Kawartha Lakes Social Services division by visiting their office at 49 Maple Avenue, Unit 8 in Haliburton or by calling 705-457-4571 or 1-877-324-9870 (toll free). They are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The City of Kawartha Lakes Children's Services division is committed to providing and promoting licensed child care services that enhance opportunities for early childhood development within Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton.
