The County of Haliburton is dedicated to creating a community where all people have equal opportunity to live, visit, raise a family, work and retire.
We're committed to complying with the legislated codes and standards to be able to achieve this.
This includes the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians' with Disability Act (AODA).
Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee
The County of Haliburton along with local Municipalities have created a Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee.
The Committee assists and provides guidance in working towards a barrier-free community. They help to develop guidelines that will meet the needs of all our residents to make our communities accessible for all.

Notice will include the nature of the disruption, services or facilities affected and the expected duration.
We will make every effort possible to provide alternate arrangements if required for those affected.
Depending on the type of disruption, we will provide public notice in a variety of methods.
