County of Haliburton Ends State of Emergency
HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON (Friday, May 9th, 2025) - The County of Haliburton has ended the partial state of emergency declared on March 31st.
The state of emergency was declared by the County in support of the Township of Minden Hills recovery from the significant weather event involving an ice storm associated with power and communication system outages that occurred between March 28th – March 30th.
In addition, the County of Haliburton has declared the end of the Significant Weather Event enacted on March 28, 2025.
Earlier this week, the Township of Minden Hills also declared the end of the state of emergency, and the end of the significant weather event.
Please be advised that both the County of Haliburton and Minden Hills Roads Departments continue to work on brush removal and cleanup. Please be mindful of crews on municipal roads.
A Roadside Brush Collection Program has been implemented to help residents deal with the lasting impacts of the ice storm. For more information please visit https://www.haliburtoncounty.ca/brushcollection.
