New physician to join Haliburton Highlands Health Services team

New physician for Haliburton County to join Haliburton Highlands Health Services
The County of Haliburton, along with the Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS), is pleased to announce that Dr. Max Rannie will be joining the medical team at HHHS in April 2026.
Dr. Rannie is a US Board-certified Family Physician and has been practicing Community and Hospitalist medicine in Maine for the past 4 years.
Dr. Rannie was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of the Americas in 2018, then completed a family practice residency at the Northern Light EMMC Family Medicine Residency Program in Bangor Maine in 2021.
Dr. Rannie will provide Hospitalist care one week a month and work six shifts per month in our Emergency Department. This arrangement represents full-time practice. He has committed to providing his medical services at HHHS for 4 years. He will not be rostering patients with the Haliburton Family Health Team.
