Proclamation: International Day of Persons with Disabilities - Dec. 3, 2025

Whereas 03 of December each year is observed by the United Nations as International Day of Persons with Disabilities; and

Whereas the day is an opportunity to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life; and

Whereas the County of Haliburton is committed to accessibility and ensuring that people of all ages and abilities enjoy the same opportunities as they live, work, visit, retire and invest in our community;

Now Therefore Be It Resolved That the County of Haliburton Warden proclaim 03 of December 2025 as International Day of Persons with Disabilities in the County of Haliburton.
