FLEXIBLE Financial Incentives:
- Return of Service incentive through Haliburton County; $25,000 per year for minimum commitment of 2 years of full-time practice. Payable for up to 6 years for a total of $150,000. We can be very flexible with payment structure depending on your situation: commence during medical training, be paid in advance of practice start date or paid annually (subject to County Council's approval).
- Relocation Reimbursement: up to $15,000 when relocating to Haliburton County for full-time practice
- Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Program (NRRR); $97,748 payable over four years. Four year commitment to be eligible.
- Canada Student Loan Forgiveness; $60,000 payable over five years

About our Family Health Team:
You’ll enjoy practicing in this bright and modern, 10,000 sq ft clinic located adjacent to our public schools and overlooking lakes and woodlands. The Haliburton Family Medical Centre currently has a 10 physician FHO with a satellite office in Minden. The FHO has approximately 10,300 rostered patients. The Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team consists of a number of allied health professionals including NPs, PA, RNs, dietician, social worker, chiropodist and visiting specialists. The EMR is Telus PS. With a long wait list, you can be as busy as you’d like to be.

With our hospital just steps away from the Haliburton Family Medical Centre, it is very convenient to see in-patients. Add Emergency Medicine to your practice with flexible shifts. There is also an opportunity to care for patients in any of our three LTC's in Haliburton County or practice Palliative Medicine. Practice sharing is also feasible.
