Haliburton County Community Safety and Well-Being Survey launches

The County of Haliburton is reviewing and updating Haliburton County’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and wants to hear from you!

The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan’s goal is to achieve sustainable communities where everyone is safe, has a sense of belonging, opportunities to participate, and where individuals and families are able to meet their needs for education, health care, food, housing, income, and social and cultural expression. 

This survey is hosted by the County on behalf of the township of Algonquin Highlands, the municipality of Highlands East, the municipality of Dysart et al and the township of Minden Hills, as part of the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan review and update. This survey will help us understand the current state of well-being and feelings of safety across the County. It will be open from July 27, 2026 and will close on September 11, 2026.

The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. We will ask questions about your experiences, perceptions, and priorities for the following topics:
•    Crime and Safety        
•    Employment
•    Health
•    Housing
•    Education
•    Neighbourhood and Community Supports

Respondents who provide an email address or contact information will be entered into a raffle to win 1 of 10 $25 grocery cards. Responses will be kept anonymous and confidential by grouping responses together and by removing any identifying information.
