HHHS Community Support Services offer a wide range of health and support services to residents of Haliburton County to improve your wellbeing and quality of life. Haliburton Highlands Health Services - GAIN
The Haliburton County GAIN clinic provides Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments for frail seniors living at home, usually 65 years of age or older. GAIN team members include a behavioral support nurse, care coordinator, client services worker, community health worker, nurse practitioner, occupational therapist, office support, pharmacist, physiotherapist and social worker. Community Paramedics provide care in the community, including in-home assessments, preventative care, and chronic disease management. The ATAC, a community-focused group centered around rural Ontario living, hosts programs focused on aging with dignity, including social events like coffee houses, language cafes and LGBTQ+ and Allies drop-ins, a regular radio show on CanoeFM, and information seminars with multiple guest speakers and social opportunities.
