The County of Haliburton is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the new full-time, permanent position of IT Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operation of the County’s information technology services and infrastructure. The position supervises technical staff, coordinates operational workloads across multiple sites, ensures timely resolution of incidents and service disruptions, and supports operational planning, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement of IT service delivery.

While primarily a leadership and operational management position, the IT Operations Manager is also expected to maintain strong technical proficiency and provide hands-on assistance when required. This includes supporting service desk and infrastructure activities, resolving technical issues, and participating directly in IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, and other technical work based on departmental workload and priorities.

Successful applicants will have five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology operations, including experience supporting both user-facing services and back-end systems or infrastructure. A three-year college diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Experience in a municipal or public-sector environment is considered an asset. A valid G driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle are required.

The County of Haliburton is accepting applications from qualified candidates interested in obtaining a permanent Business Analyst – ERP position. This is a new vacant position.

The Business Analyst - ERP position is responsible for supporting the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the County and participating municipalities. Working closely with Finance and departmental staff, and the ERP implementation partner, the Business Analyst will document business processes, gather requirements, and help ensure alignment between organizational needs and system capabilities. The role supports key implementation activities such as data preparation, user acceptance testing, and training, and plays an important role in promoting effective user adoption and a smooth transition to the new system.

Requirements for this position include post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field plus five years of related experience. 

The hourly wage rate for this CUPE unionized position is $45.00. Hours of work are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This position reports to the Administration Office at 11 Newcastle St., Minden, ON, K0M 2K0.
