    HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON (Friday, May 9th, 2025) - The County of Haliburton has ended the partial state of emergency declared on March 31st.

    The state of emergency was declared by the County in support of the Township of Minden Hills recovery from the significant weather event involving an ice storm associated with power and communication system outages that occurred between March 28th –.

    Rescheduled public meeting regarding Milburn Kendrick Conservation Reserve: cancelled

    On March 26th, the Corporation of the County of Haliburton organized a public meeting regarding an application to the Province of Ontario by the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust for the creation of the proposed Milburn Kendrick Conservation Reserve.

    The purpose of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for the public to present comments to County Council regarding the proposed creation of the conservation.
