South Baptiste Lake Road (County Rd 5) ClosureSouth Baptist Lake Road (County Road 5) will be closed for a double culvert replacement at Jordan Lake on September 13 & 14, 2022 between 3210 South Baptist Lake Road and West Diamond Lake Road. Please detour via Clark Road to Ojibway Road to Loop Road.

Burleigh Road ClosureBurleigh Road (County Road 15) will be closed for culvert replacement on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 between civic address 2488 to the north and 2059 to the south. Update: This road will remain closed until Wednesday, July 26 2022 at noon.
Vehicle Detour on the Rail TrailThe Township of Minden Hills has closed the Sedgwick Bridge and started detouring local traffic on to the Rail Trail between Cemetery Road and Francis Road. The detour is expected to be in place until late October or Early November 2022.
Educational Patrollers on the Rail TrailBeginning July 1, volunteers from the Kawartha ATV Association in partnership with the Haliburton ATV Association and the County will be on the HCRT as Educational Patrollers. Working together to keep the trails safe, the volunteer patrollers are acting as trail ambassadors and will be educating and providing assistance to all users.
Haliburton County Rail TrailThe portion of the Haliburton County Rail Trail between Cemetery Road and Francis Road has been reopened. The Township of Minden Hills contractor has completed the work on this section of the rail trail to prepare for the upcoming Sedgwick Bridge closure and detour.
Haliburton County Rail Trail ClosureEffective Monday June 6, 2022, the Township of Minden Hills will be closing a portion of the Haliburton County Rail Trail between Cemetery Road and Francis Road in order to prepare the trail and the Gelert Railway Bridge for the upcoming Sedgwick Bridge closure and detour. Trail users will be required to detour along Frances Road, Sedgwick Road, Cemetery Road and Gelert Road for an anticipated two (2) to three (3) week period.
